Caring for Our Gemfields
Sustainability
Real fossicking, thoughtful choices, and respect for the land that makes the Sapphire Gemfields worth protecting.
Our Commitment
The Sapphire Gemfields are central to everything we do. Pats Sapphire Central is committed to reducing waste, conserving resources and helping protect the landscape and wildlife that define this region.
Water Conservation
Water used at our fossicking stations is recycled, reducing unnecessary use while preserving the gem-washing experience.
Reducing Plastic
We avoid single-use plastics wherever practical and choose reusable or lower-waste alternatives across visitor and café operations.
Supporting Local
We use local products and suppliers where possible, helping keep visitor spending within our regional community.
Using Energy Wisely
Energy-saving equipment and thoughtful operating practices help reduce unnecessary electricity consumption across the property.
Protecting Nature
We respect native vegetation and wildlife and encourage visitors to observe animals without disturbing or feeding them.
Responsible Waste
Waste is handled responsibly to keep our park welcoming and prevent litter from entering the surrounding environment.
